About the blog
This blog is a collection of my notes and casual experiments. It also serves as an incentive for me to keep writing about the things I love, and to procrastinate in a structured way.
About me
Hello there! I’m Fernando. I live in Brazil (for now) with my wife and kids.
I spend a significant portion of my time tinkering with computers, learning more about the tools I use and about computers in generale I’m interested in operating systems, computer networking, systems and in how components work together. Do you remember how, in the 90s, computers and the internet would change how we live and interact with the world? How they were a promise of a inscrutable future? Well, my interest in computers is but a reflection of that sentiment.
I use Python and Golang daily, and, on some days, when I think I’m cool enough for the task, I do some bash scripting aswell. My day to day work is backend development, but what I’m good at is debugging and fixing things that don’t work well, and tinkering and understanding niche topics deeply to solve a particular problem. I’m a simple guy, give me strace
and I’m a happy man.
In the beginning of 2024, I started studying computer science by solving problems in CS Primer. Oz Nova changed the way I study computers and interact with them.
